CAESA Mapfre Group joins the blood and marrow donation campaign of the Santa María Micaela Adoratrices School in Cartagena
At CAESA Mapfre Group we reaffirm our commitment to health and solidarity by actively participating in the blood and marrow donation campaign organized by the Santa María Micaela Adoratrices School of Cartagena. This initiative, which will take place next Thursday, February 27, seeks to raise awareness and mobilize the community to save lives through donation.
Our commercial advisor, Pedro González, together with José Manuel Garrido, head of studies at the school, have shared details about this action in COPE Cartagena, highlighting the importance of citizen participation. The campaign will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., offering donors the opportunity to contribute to this noble cause.
To donate blood, it is necessary to meet certain requirements: be in good health, be between 18 and 65 years old, weigh more than 50 kilos, have breakfast and present your ID. In the case of bone marrow donation, donors must be between 18 and 40 years old, in good health and also present their identity document.
At CAESA Mapfre Group we want to recognize the effort and generosity of donors. For this reason, we will give each participant the donor bag, which will include a ticket for the match between Odilo C.B. and the Guipúzcoa Basket, which will be held on March 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Palacio de los Deportes in Cartagena.
From the Santa María Micaela Adoratrices School, the campaign is framed within its service learning model, involving the smallest values of solidarity and commitment. "Children are the donors of the future, it is incredible how they internalize the values that we transmit to them, and they themselves encourage families to donate," says José Manuel Garrido.
Under the motto "Donate blood, donate marrow, give the gift of life", we encourage the entire community to join this solidarity action that last year had more than 300 donors. At CAESA Mapfre Group, we continue to support initiatives that promote the health and well-being of our community.
